SOS International LLC IT Program Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia

*This position is contingent upon contract award*

SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our team and support our government customer in the Washington, DC metro area . In this role, you will oversee the IT services, Cybersecurity and Program Management support required to scope, design, implement, operationalize and maintain a wide-range of new security systems, processes, applications, and other technology solutions for the customer cybersecurity organization.

Essential Job Duties

  • Managing multiple contract operations, ensuring quality standards and work performance on all task orders and projects; planning, organizing and overseeing work efforts; assigning resources; managing personnel; providing risk management; ensuring quality management; monitoring overall project and contract performance.

  • Ensuring senior level management within the client organization, is aware of overall program status, including all relevant projects and their potential impact on higher level organizational strategic vision, this may include subject matter and unique technical knowledge.

  • Experience applying management techniques, methods, theories, principles and labor relations concepts, sufficient to assure optimum utilization of personnel, equipment and space, and to accomplish program objectives through combined technical and administrative oversight.

  • Experience applying budget and fiscal methods used in establishing and maintaining contracts.

  • Experience working on major programs segments, organizational structures and/or functional responsibilities.

  • Assist and manage a team of SME’s in the overhaul, enhancement, interoperability, augmentation, expansion, integration, and/or migration of existing IT assets into a streamlined operational environment.

  • Lead a program and team who will improve the customers core infrastructure, technological architecture, and security capabilities is necessary to fulfill the mission to protect sensitive information.

  • Employ Agile best practices to manage all key projects and initiatives.

  • Develop standardized, current, project/program schedules in accordance with Agile best practices, and continuously manage and oversee their implementation and improvement.

  • Produce standardized, complete, and useful status reports, presentations, reports, product evaluations, meeting-related records, and other documentation as needed.

  • Perform all vendor contract management duties in a timely, collaborative manner.

  • Produce thorough, clear, concise, and usable documentation.

  • Establish and abide by regular, organized stakeholder communications.

  • Provide organizational readiness support, as needed, to Cybersecurity staff.

  • Develop and implement transition management plan, as necessary, to ensure seamless transition to follow-on contractors.

  • Transfer skills and knowledge to customer staff, as needed, to ensure an optimal customer cybersecurity posture.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar related degree.

  • Minimum seven (7) years experience in providing oversight and executive level management to multiple programs/projects and experience managing relationships with senior level management within the client organization.

  • PMP required.

  • Capable of managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on-time performance of all aspects of the contract within budget.

  • Excellent communication, presentation and customer interface skills

  • Thorough understanding of AGILE methodologies.

  • Proven experience managing technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree preferred.

  • Relevant Agile Program Management certification.

  • IAM Level II certification such as CISSP or CASP is preferred.

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

  • Fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.

  • May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
