SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator - Construction for our Construction Planning Cell at Camp Taji, Iraq.


•Oversee the quality assurance (QA) aspects of all construction for all Iraq-based programs

•Responsible for the following:

oQA oversight of all construction activities

oQA review of engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for all facilities and projects

oQA interfacing with the Quality Control Managers of the design and construction firms for all facilities and projects being constructed under SOSi contracts in Iraq

•Works in the SOSi Construction Planning Cell at Camp Taji, Iraq to lead all QA endeavors that are part of SOSi construction projects in Iraq

•Helps SOSi build an in-house construction and engineering capability where possible, and utilizes subcontract and consultant capabilities as needed

•Helps build the necessary organization, supply, equipment, and material chains to support all QA objectives

•Provides QA feedback with end users/customers to insure quality on mission critical aspects of facilities and projects

•Reviews all quality aspects for major and minor construction projects and insures that quality work is being accomplished on all projects

•For “major” construction projects, develops SOSi QA standards for acceptance and turnover of new facilities constructed by others

•Helps the SOSi PMO in its work with the USAF and USACE to coordinate and de-conflict the engineering, design, and construction efforts; specifically when dealing with the QA aspects of the efforts

•Maintains accountability for QA aspects of facility design and construction, and insures compliance with design standards, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures; keeping current and familiar with both US and International standards and requirements

•Helps recruit consultants and SOSi staff in coordination with Talent Acquisition Team

•Reviews and recommends approval to the Director of monthly invoices dealing with QA aspects of facility design and construction

•Monitors consultant and subcontractor performance in regards to QA aspects of all design and construction projects in Iraq


•Minimum 7 years of construction experience in positions of increasing responsibility with at least five years of QA experience

•Shall have some experience working in a contingency environment such as Iraq or Afghanistan, or some other comparable contingency environment

•Should have experience working on a military base

•Should have experience working on projects which are being accomplished under US Federal contracting laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and practices

•Experience with development and presentation of proposals for new business

•Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and on a team

•Background displaying ability to work with a diverse group of professionals with experience in various disciplines

•Demonstrable proficiency in MS Office suite (or comparable). Knowledge of Primavera P6/Suretrak/MS Project, and project management platforms

•Ability to pass basic physical and background checks sufficient for duty in a contingency/military environment




•Prior military service or current military service (in the Reserves)

•Previous LOGCAP Construction QA/QC experience in Iraq or Afghanistan


•Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable

•Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions

•Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
