SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a Labor Specialist for our current contract located at Camp Taji, Iraq.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
•Responsible for supporting the Labor Department with the coordination of safe, clean and efficient facilities and grounds
•Assists with scheduling, organizing, supervising and participating in a variety of labor services
•Supervises and provides escort of local national laborer workers and sub-contractors
•Determines, recommends and requisition needed custodial supplies and equipment
•Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports including employee timesheets, inventory levels, facilities status and work performed
•Responds to requests from Labor Supervisor to assist with a variety of emergency or special custodial and clean-up duties
•Participates in cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, stairways and other work areas so that health standards are met
•Assists maintaining supplies in restrooms
•Performs special cleaning of walls, lighting fixtures, and windows, both inside and outside, move furniture and set up meeting room
•Participates in the cleaning and care of rest rooms, offices, showers, shops and related facilities in a clean, safe and orderly manner
•Assists with protecting and accounting for all assigned company property and clean and service custodial equipment as required
•Maintains compliance with procedures regarding the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish and waste
•Assists in Keeping the camp grounds and surrounding areas clean; cutting down shrubbery, trees, grass, etc.
•Operates a variety of equipment, machines and tools related to custodial work
•Performs minor non-technical repairs and adjustments to buildings, equipment and fixtures; report repair and maintenance needs and assist maintenance personnel in making repairs as required
•Turns lights on and off; unlocks and locks doors and gates; reports sanitation and safety issues and hazards
•Performs other duties as assigned
•Must have two (2) years in field repair/install experience with at least one (1) year in Iraq or other austere environments
•Experienced with the following:
oApplying pertinent codes, policies, regulation and/or laws
oHandling hazardous materials
oPlanning and managing projects
oPreparing and maintaining accurate records
•Relevant overseas government contracting experience preferably with the Department of Defense
•Proficient with Microsoft Office Platforms (Excel, Power Point and Word)
•Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment
•Ability to wear Individual Protective Equipment (IPE) such as a ballistic vest and helmet
•Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
•Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
•Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
