Overview
SOSi is seeking an Insurance/Medical Billing Consultant to join our team in El Paso, TX supporting our customer on the buildout of a system that includes a requirement to perform the billing of insurance companies for services rendered, more specifically translation and interpretation services.
Essential Job Duties
Assist with building and deploying foundational technological capabilities that can be utilized to augment manual processing.
Responsible for insurance AR credits and processing procedure(s).
Reviews reports, research, and resolves issues.
Works with co-workers to resolve insurance payment and billing automation.
Recommend accounts process workflows.
Answers patient payment, billing, and insurance processing questions and resolves issues.
Adheres to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPPA laws and guidelines about patient records.
Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
Minimum Requirements
AA Degree or higher. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
Minimum five (5) years combined medical billing and payment experience required.
Demonstrate knowledge of state, federal, and third-party claims processing required.
Demonstrate knowledge of state & federal collections guidelines.

May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable)
